Catherine turned 16 in November and was more than ready to get her license to drive. We were so ready also as we needed a new go-fer since Mitchell's off at college. Besides running random errands for us, Catherine drives Stephanie and herself to school each morning, and she gets herself to and from her afterschool activities. And she is one busy girl!
I'm grateful that state law prevents her from having passengers (besides family) for another six months.
Days before Catherine got her license to drive, she had her braces removed. With one kid out of braces, it was time to put another in. (Our orthodontist loves us.) Yesterday Stephanie had her metal installed! It will take her some time to adjust to playing the clarinet...I cannot even imagine. I'm glad basketball season is over for the year and that she has time to adjust before softball starts.

Oh My! No wonder you can't afford to visit NZ...because you send your orthodontist on holiday every year on your money!
Ain't that the truth?! I believe she's added a new wing to her house due to us.
We are, however, seriously considering a trip to NZ. Watch it.
How nice to have another driver in the house! I must say, I too am enjoying Jordan having his licence. He as well drives his sister to school in the morning. My husband always jokes that we did pay for some tires most likely on the Orthodontist's Porshe between two of three kids needing braces. lol!
So 2 of your 3 kids had braces on their teeth? Those are the same stats for us as the two girls have had them but the boy didn't. Do that many kids really need them? Makes me wonder if we haven't bought into some kind of racket... notice how all those dental people wear masks...like bandits...perhaps to hide their true identites? Hmmm.
