ANCORA IMPARO

"Ancora Imparo" Apparently it's Latin for "I am still learning." It is my battle cry.

Yesterday I heard a message in church about process. In James 1:13-15 we are given the process by which evil desire "gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death."
Moving on in James 1, starting with verse 22 and continuing through verse 25, we are given a more uplifting process: "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says....the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does." That's a great process to follow.

I have a birthday coming up and have been thinking of how busted-up old I am going to be. But then a good friend passed away suddenly at the age of 88. Doing the math...I have more than 40 years of living to catch up with her. Life is a process and I have a lot more learning to do!
