COWBOY CHURCH

Ever heard of "Cowboy Church"?
Not something I heard of while growing up in Los Angeles, but I'm not in L.A. any more.
A couple, a wonderful older couple, hosts Cowboy Church once a month at our church. Tonight Steve and I went dragging Stephanie along. (The two older kids went to Snow Camp this weekend.)
We had a terrific time! I've never seen cowboy hats worn in church before but they were there, and two teenage boys turned their violins into fiddles. It was great! I have come to realize that country life suits me better than the fast-paced, crowded city life (though I wouldn't consider where I live "country" really). Oh well. God is showing me new things almost every day!

PSALM 148

Psalm 148

Praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD from the heavens,
praise him in the heights above.
Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts.

Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars.
Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.

Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he commanded and they were created.
He set them in place for ever and ever; he gave a decree that will never pass away.

Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,
you mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
wild animals and all cattle,
small creatures and flying birds,

for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.

Praise the LORD.

WINTER FORMAL

Winter Formal
Saturday, January 27

Catherine got together with some girlfriends to attend the school's Winter Formal at the historic Monticello Ballroom.

Nicole, Keela, Catherine and Lauren have been together since 1st grade. Catherine and Keela actually shared the hospital nursery as they were born only a day apart!

Are they not beautiful?!

It's so much fun watching my girl grow and maintain important relationships.
