SUMMER VOLLEYBALL

Volleyball has been a great experience for the girls and their families at TRCS. We started playing last Fall with a great coach, and this summer we were invited to play every Tuesday and Thursday in the hottest gym in Washington! It was a fantastic experience and we were able to maintain our streak...we haven't won a match yet! The girls continue to get compliments on their sportsmanship -- I'm very proud of the character they display every game. A win is just around the corner!

Coach on and off the court building team spirit and having fun!

Catherine works off court with buddies Grayson and Gavin.

Billy and Gavin take a rest between matches.

Our last three days of play found us with games at 5:oo and 8:oo. What to do with a two-hour break between games? We organized a parking lot potluck! What fun sharing food and sharing stories. There was plenty of play on the grass...volleyball, board games and some good old-fashioned tickle time!

Mitchell and Jackie hang out while some of the kids try to keep the volleyball aloft.

I had a chance to introduce Lane and Kayla to the game, Othello.
Everyone brought something to share for the meal between games.

On court the girls kept their focus and played hard through every minute of every game.

Miranda and Stephanie practice on the sidelines.

Some nights we did not have many high school girls show up so Miranda and Stephanie were able to jump in and lend a hand. Both girls are entering 6th grade in September and will play on our middle school squad.

On the court and in the game!
