HE'S BACK

Thursday I was able to cut out of school a little early and head up to Seattle with my girls to pick up Steve from the airport. It is wonderful to hear about his experiences and great to have him home again.
You can read about his trip by going to http://www.steveinafrica2008.blogspot.com/
He's updating the site to share his journal entries.

Last night Steve and I attended a "progressive dinner" with folks from church. Ya know, it was kinda fun. We started with appetizers at the church, traveled to someone's house for salad, traveled to another someone's house for the main course, and ended up back at the church for dessert and coffee. I'm not the social animal ,but I sure enjoyed getting to meet some new people.

I've heard of those progressive dinners. Sounds like something fun to try sometime. That's great it turned out to be something you enjoyed.

So funny, today we had notice from youth group that the youth are having a progressive dinner in March! So now I think I'm actually hosting part of it here and then they will drive to other homes every 20 minutes or so. Funny our kids will try this out before I will. lol!

This is great!! Steve and I have hosted before and it's terrific -- It's a blast to spend all afternoon prepping and then have a bunch of people drop in, thrash your house, and run off! Both you and the kids should have a great time. What part of the dinner will you prepare?

I'm not sure yet what part we are doing. They had just asked for the volunteers and haven't let us know yet who is doing what. It's next Friday, the 7th, so hopefully we will find out soon! I do like to plan.
